About the role / project:
Network rail are seeking an agile test manager to join their route services division on an interim basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for directing a team of Digital Quality Engineers to enable the efficient and effective quality assurance of digital software solutions, to help drive innovation and the delivery of a robust digital software capability within the business, enabling the realisation of desired business outcomes.
What you will do:
*Control the effective management and monitoring of the achievement of entry and exit criteria for all quality assurance activities throughout the appropriate Digital Factory delivery lifecycle.
*Direct and participate in the creation, preparation and execution of all appropriate lifecycle mandated quality assurance artefacts (including test plans and test cases) in accordance with the Digital Factory delivery lifecycle.
*Ensure full quality assurance team participation in appropriate agile ceremonies, acting as a senior subject matter expert with regards quality and test assurance.
*Plan and manage the quality assurance relationship both within the Digital factory and with nominated suppliers to facilitate successful delivery of identified capabilities agreed with customers.
*Direct and manage the identification, evaluation and further development of quality related tools and their application in digital software components.
*Direct, approve and manage the Identification, implementation and review processes and procedures that will assist both the mitigation and promotion of good risk-based quality assurance approaches allowing early detection and mitigation of quality assurance related risks within the appropriate development lifecycle.
*Identify and lead the implementation of suitable automated digital test techniques and test-driven development techniques when working with suppliers and on Digital factory developed projects.
*Forecast and manage, through the effective deployment of available resources, the expected demand for quality engineering activity identified during the planning and execution of the Digital Factory demand pipeline.

*Experience working within an Agile environment
