Frasers Group Sports MD Ger Wright to Step Down in November

Frasers Group has announced that Ger Wright, the current Managing Director of Sports, will leave her role at the end of November.

Wright, who has been instrumental in advancing the group’s sports division since her appointment in 2022, will remain with the company as a non-executive director, continuing to provide strategic guidance as Frasers Group pursues further growth in the sports sector.

Ger Wright’s Impact on Frasers Group’s Sports Strategy

Since joining Frasers Group, Wright has played a key role in executing the company’s ‘Elevation Strategy,’ which aims to expand its offerings and elevate the brand’s position in the market.

Under her leadership, the sports division introduced new concepts focused on running and outdoor sports, onboarded multiple new brands, and expanded into international markets.

These efforts have been central to Frasers Group’s broader mission to transform its sports proposition and appeal to a wider customer base.

Reflecting on Wright’s contributions, Frasers Group CEO Michael Murray expressed his gratitude for her leadership.

Murray said: “Ger has been an exceptional leader for Frasers Group, and we are grateful for her contribution. We look forward to continuing to benefit from Ger’s sector expertise as a non-executive director as we further accelerate the group’s ambitions in sport,”

A Continued Role in Frasers Group’s Future

As Wright transitions to a non-executive director role, she will continue to lend her expertise to the company’s board.
